IGNITION SYSTEM COMPONENTS OVERVIEW

Note. The engine speed sensor -G28- is on the cylinder block.

1. Ignition Coil 1 with Power Output Stage -N70- Ignition coil 2 with power output stage -N127- Ignition coil 3 with power output stage -N291- Ignition coil 4 with power output stage -N292- Ignition coil 5 with power output stage -N323- Ignition coil 6 with power output stage -N324- Use the puller for ignition coil -T10095 A- for removal. Refer to «IGNITION COILS WITH POWER OUTPUT STAGES»(ref-475598-S27670870482012052300000) .
2. Connector 4 pin
3. Bracket For the knock sensor 1 connector.
4. Bolt 10 Nm
5. Connector Black, 3 pin Sensor contacts and connector contacts are gold plated.
6. Knock Sensor 1 -G61- Sensor contacts and connector contacts are gold plated. Installed location: Exhaust side of the cylinder block.
7. Bolt 20 Nm Tightening specification affects the function of the knock sensor.
8. Exhaust Camshaft Adjuster With the sensor wheel for the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor 2. If the camshaft adjuster has been removed, adjust the valve timing. Refer to «CAMSHAFT AND OIL PUMP TIMING CHAINS»(ref-475597-S08288094262012052300000) .
9. Cover Removing and installing, refer to «COVER OVERVIEW»(ref-475597-S17367809422012052300000) .
10. Seal Always replace.
11. Camshaft Position Sensor 2 -G163- For the exhaust camshaft. Sensor contacts and connector contacts are gold plated.
12. Bolt 10 Nm
13. Connector Black, 3 pin Sensor contacts and connector contacts are gold plated. Mark the connector before disconnecting.
14. Camshaft Position Sensor -G40- For the intake camshaft. Sensor contacts and connector contacts are gold plated.
15. Knock Sensor 2 -G66- Sensor contacts and connector contacts are gold plated. Installed location: Intake side of the cylinder block.
16. Connector Black, 2 pin Sensor contacts and connector contacts are gold plated.
17. Intake Camshaft Adjuster With the sensor wheel for the CMP sensor. If the camshaft adjuster has been removed, adjust the valve timing. Refer to «CAMSHAFT AND OIL PUMP TIMING CHAINS»(ref-475597-S08288094262012052300000) .
18. Spark Plug If the spark plug is replaced, grease the ignition coil with power output stage. Refer to «IGNITION COILS WITH POWER OUTPUT STAGES»(ref-475598-S27670870482012052300000) . Remove and install using the spark plug removal tool -3122 B-. Type, torque specification and electrode gap. Refer to «TEST DATA AND SPARK PLUGS»(ref-475598-S37100421032012052300000) .
19. Control Housing For the camshaft adjustment. Removing and installing, refer to «CAMSHAFTS»(ref-475597-S25290652872012052300000) .
