FUEL RAIL, INJECTORS, AND PIPES OVERVIEW, THROUGH 05.06

WARNINGFollow the safety measures for releasing the high side fuel pressure. Refer to HIGH SIDE FUEL PRESSURE, RELEASING .

  1. Cylinder 1 Fuel Injector -N30- to Cylinder 4 Fuel Injector -N33- Removing and installing, refer to «FUEL INJECTORS»(ref-475526-S25328497592012052300000) .
  2. Bolt 8 Nm
  3. Fuel Rail Removing and installing, refer to «FUEL RAIL»(ref-475526-S23465829222012052300000) .
  4. Plate Nut
  5. Pressure Relief Valve 30 Nm To remove and install, remove the intake manifold. Refer to «INTAKE MANIFOLD»(ref-475526-S38480181432012052300000) .
  6. Low Pressure Pipe Counter hold the pressure relief valve when removing. Check the tightening torque for the pressure relief valve before installation. Do not install when under tension. Tighten the union nut to 22 Nm.
  7. Bracket
  8. High Pressure Pipe Do not install when under tension. Tighten the union nut to the high pressure pump to 27 Nm. Tighten the union nut to the fuel rail to 33 Nm.
  9. Connector For the fuel injectors.
  10. Bolt 5 Nm
  11. Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247- 22 Nm Lubricate the threads and sealing point with clean engine oil. Removing and installing, refer to «Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247»(ref-475526-S09039258162012052300000) . Checking, refer to «FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR -G247-, CHECKING»(ref-475526-S25737771722012052300000) .

  1. Cylinder 1 Fuel Injector -N30- to Cylinder 4 Fuel Injector -N33- Removing and installing, refer to «FUEL INJECTORS»(ref-475526-S25328497592012052300000) .
  2. Bolt 8 Nm
  3. Fuel Rail Removing and installing, refer to «FUEL RAIL»(ref-475526-S23465829222012052300000) .
  4. Low Pressure Fuel Hose To the high pressure pump.
  5. Pressure Relief Valve 30 Nm To remove and install, remove the intake manifold. Refer to «INTAKE MANIFOLD»(ref-475526-S38480181432012052300000) .
  6. Plate Nut
  7. Low Pressure Pipe Counter hold the pressure relief valve when loosening the union nut. Check the tightening torque for the pressure relief valve before installation. Do not install when under tension. Tighten the union nut to 22 Nm.

  9. High Pressure Pipe Counter hold the threaded connection when loosening the union nuts. Check the tightening specification for the threaded connection before installing. Do not install when under tension. Tighten the union nuts to 27 Nm.

  12. Connector For 16 and 17 .
  13. Connector for 11
  14. Wire Strip
  15. Clip attach to the intake manifold sleeve on the right side at the bottom
  16. Connector For the camshaft position sensor.
  17. Connector For the fuel pressure sensor.
  18. Bolt 5 Nm
  19. Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247- 22 Nm Lubricate the threads and sealing point with clean engine oil. Removing and installing, refer to «Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247»(ref-475526-S09039258162012052300000) . Checking, refer to «FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR -G247-, CHECKING»(ref-475526-S25737771722012052300000) .
  20. Threaded Connection 30 Nm

HIGH PRESSURE PUMP OVERVIEW

Note. Of vehicles from 06.06, the low pressure line to the high pressure pump was changed from being a pipe with a banjo bolt to a hose connection with a spring-type clip.

  1. Cam Follower Replace if damaged.
  2. O-ring Always replace Before installing, lubricate with clean engine oil.
  3. High Pressure Pump with Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve -N276- Removing and installing, refer to «HIGH PRESSURE PUMP»(ref-475526-S04018469522012052300000) .
  4. Bolt 10 Nm
  5. Union Nut 27 Nm Counter hold the threaded connection when loosening. Check the tightening specification for the threaded connection to the high pressure pump before installing. Install the high pressure pipe free of stress.
  6. High Pressure Pipe Follow the safety measures for releasing the high side fuel pressure. Refer to «HIGH SIDE FUEL PRESSURE, RELEASING»(ref-475570-S34811348802012052300000) .
  7. Threaded Connection 30 Nm On vehicles from 06.06. Replace only after it has been loosened. Always leave the old seal in the high pressure pump when replacing the threaded connection it is pinched during initial assembly by the supplier and cannot be removed. the new threaded connection has a biting edge for sealing.
  8. Low Pressure Fuel Hose On vehicles from 06.06. Secure with a spring type clamp.
  9. Banjo Bolt with Conical Seal Seat 15 Nm Always replace. Install the fuel pipe free of stress. Counter hold the threaded connection when loosening. On vehicles through 05.06.
  10. Fuel Pipe On vehicles through 05.06. Low pressure.
  11. Threaded Connection 30 Nm Replace only after it has been loosened. On vehicles through 05.06. Always leave the old seal in the high pressure pump when replacing the threaded connection it is pinched during initial assembly by the supplier and cannot be removed. the new threaded connection has a biting edge for sealing.
  12. High Pressure Pipe Threaded Connection 40 Nm Do not loosen the threaded connection, just retighten it.
  13. Low Fuel Pressure Sensor -G410- 15 Nm
  14. Seal Always replace.
