GENERAL DESCRIPTION
For 2.5 L non-turbo engine, rationalization design was implemented, including adoption of resin-made intake manifold and of multifunction duct. Friction reduction and review of ignition system and electrical system were achieved in detail, thus improving both exhaust gas performance and fuel economy performance.
In addition, with emphasis on compatibility between the Lineartronic™, output performance has been optimized by changing intake manifold and cam profile in order to realize easy-to-handle engine with improved drivability.
