Scheme 62: CHECK BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH (MT MODEL)
  1. Disconnect the back-up light switch connector.
  2. Measure the resistance between back-up light switch terminals. Preparation tool: Circuit tester SPECIFICATION CHART Terminal No. Inspection conditions Specification 1 - 2 When shift lever is set in reverse position Less than 1 ohms Other positions 1 Mohms or more
  3. Replace the back-up light switch if the inspection result is not within the standard value.

Scheme 63: CHECK INHIBITOR SWITCH (CVT MODEL)
  1. Disconnect the inhibitor switch connector.
  2. Measure the resistance between inhibitor switch terminals. Preparation tool: Circuit tester SPECIFICATION CHART Terminal No. Inspection conditions Specification 7 - 8 When the selector lever is in the "R" range Less than 1 ohms Other positions 1 Mohms or more
  3. Replace the inhibitor switch if the inspection result is not within the standard value.

  1. Disconnect the stop light switch connector.
  2. Measure the resistance between stop light switch terminals. Preparation tool: Circuit tester SPECIFICATION CHART Terminal No. Inspection conditions Specification 2 - 3 When brake pedal is depressed Less than 1 ohms When brake pedal is released 1 Mohms or more
  3. Replace the stop light switch if the inspection result is not within the standard value.

  1. Remove the door switch.
  2. Measure the resistance between door switch terminals. Preparation tool: Circuit tester SPECIFICATION CHART Terminal No. Inspection conditions Specification 2 - 3 When door is opened Less than 1 ohms When door is closed 1 Mohms or more
  3. Replace the door switch if the inspection result is not within the standard value.

  1. Disconnect the rear gate latch switch connector.
  2. Measure the resistance between rear gate latch switch terminals. Preparation tool: Circuit tester SPECIFICATION CHART Terminal No. Inspection conditions Specification 3 - 4 When rear gate is opened Less than 1 ohms When rear gate is closed 1 Mohms or more
  3. If the inspection result is not within the standard value, replace the rear gate latch and actuator assembly.

  2. Measure the resistance between trunk lid switch terminals. Preparation tool: Circuit tester SPECIFICATION CHART Terminal No. Inspection conditions Specification 2 - 3 When trunk lid is opened Less than 1 ohms When trunk lid is closed 1 Mohms or more
  3. If the inspection result is not within the standard value, replace the trunk lid latch and actuator assembly.
