DTC P1100 (ST_SW) - STARTER SWITCH CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION Subaru Outback BG

Testing & Diagnostics
  1. Ensure inhibitor switch is in Park or Neutral on vehicles equipped with A/T, or clutch is depressed on vehicles equipped with M/T. Turn ignition switch to START position. If starter does not operate, go to next step.
  2. Check circuit to starter motor. Check for open in harness between ECM and starter motor connector, or for poor terminal contact in ECM connector. See appropriate wiring diagram in the «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-26255) article. Repair or replace as necessary. If circuits are okay, repair or replace starter motor.
