Horn (Except Sti): Removal & Installation Subaru Impreza GH

REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Remove the front bumper face. Refer to «FRONT BUMPER FACE»(ref-357250-S33518905012010031100000) , REMOVAL, Front Bumper.
  3. Disconnect the harness connector.
  4. Remove the horn bracket mounting bolt, and remove the horn assembly.

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque

Lo side: 18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)

Hi side: 13 N.m (1.3 kgf-m, 9.6 ft-lb)

WARNINGBefore servicing, be sure to read the notes in the AIRBAG article for proper handling of the driver's airbag module. Refer to CAUTION .

Note. Horn switch is a unit with the driver's airbag module.

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
  2. Remove the driver's airbag module. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-357264-S20493109892010031100000) , Driver's Airbag Module.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
