Manual Calibration, ACC
Manual calibration must be performed if the stepping motor is replaced, removed or if the position of the flaps is changed. Calibration must also be performed when the battery has been disconnected. Perform calibration as follows.

- Start the engine.
- Press in the AUTO and REC buttons until the message "ACC: CALIBR. STARTED" is shown on the main instrument unit display. Calibration takes approximately 20 seconds.

Adjustment
The ACC unit can be adjusted using the diagnostic tool as follows
Scheme 354
- the air-blending flap continuously remains in full heat position.
- select another fan current.
With the diagnostics tool, the ACC unit can be adjusted to delay fan engagement if there is a risk of mist forming on the inside of the windscreen. This occurs if the engine has been turned off for more than 1 minute and the outside temperature is between 0°C and 15°C.
The delay period can be set to between 0 and 30 s.
Using the diagnostic tool, the ACC unit can be adjusted to always start with the air recirculation flap in recirculation. The flap immediately adopts this position. Fresh air can only be selected manually on the panel
The ACC unit can be adjusted using the diagnostic tool to raise or lower the temperature in the left and right-hand temperature zones compared with what was set on the steering wheel control.
Note. The cabin temperature is always regulated so that the perceived temperature is equivalent to the setting. This means that a thermometer normally shows a value different from the setting.

The system is set in accordance with the following
- fan speed 6 steps
- AC ON
- air distribution in defrost position, 100% is shown on the diagnostic tool
- temperature control
- air recirculation in off position
- electrically heated rear window on
- the LED in the AUTO button goes out
Scheme 356
The system is set in accordance with the following
- air distribution in defrost/floor position, 70% is shown on the diagnostic tool
- the button LEDs for defrost/floor come on
- the LED in the AUTO button goes out
Scheme 357
The system is set in accordance with the following
- air distribution in floor position, 50% is shown on the diagnostic tool
- the button LED for floor comes on
- the LED in the AUTO button goes out
Scheme 358
The system is set in accordance with the following
- air distribution in floor/panel position, 25% is shown on the diagnostic tool

The button can be switched manually between air recirculation and fresh air. To return to automatic control AUTO must be depressed. Note that the AUTO button LED also comes on during manual air recirculation.
Air recirculation is affected in the following cases
- OFF, if the defroster button is activated
- ON if LO temperature and AC ON have been selected
The system is set in accordance with the following with recirculation on
- air recirculation in ON position
- the LED in the air recirculation button comes on
