Re-assembling: engine — variant 2 Peugeot 206 I

Refit the flywheel

Fit the new pre-coated screws (LOCTITE FRENETANCH)

Insert the flywheel stop [4] (tightening torque to 7.0 da.Nm)

Fit

• The clutch disc
• The clutch mechanism

Tighten the coupling bolts between the engine and the gearbox (tightening torque to 1.5 da.Nm)

Remove the flywheel stop [4]

Refit (carefully): the coolant manifold (1)

Tighten the bolts to 0.8 m.daN

Refit: the intermediate drive bearing (2)

Tighten the bolts to 4.0 m.daN

Refit

• The knock sensor (3) (tightening torque to 2.0 da.Nm)
• The top dead centre sensor (tightening torque to 0.8 da.Nm)

Refit: the inlet manifold (4)

Tighten the bolts to 0.9 m.daN

Refit: the injection pipe (5)

Tighten the bolts to 0.9 m.daN

Refit: the inlet manifold (6)

Tighten the bolts to 0.9 m.daN

Refit

• The oil vapours breather tube (7)
• The canister pipe (10)
• The oil pressure switch (8) (tightening torque to 2.5 da.Nm)

Refit (according to equipment): the electric gauge (9) (tightening torque to 2.7 da.Nm)

Refit: the alternator bracket (11)

Tighten the bolts to 2.5 m.daN

Refit (according to equipment): the compressor bracket (12)

Tighten the bolts to 2.5 m.daN

Refit

• The heat exchanger (13) (according to equipment)
• The nipple (14) (tightening torque to 0.8 da.Nm + LOCTITE FRENBLOC)
• The water outlet (on the coolant outlet housing)

Refit: a new oil filter (15)

Refit

• A new exhaust manifold gasket (16)
• The exhaust manifold (17)

Tighten the nuts in the sequence shown

• Pre-tighten to 1.0 daNm
• Tightening torque to 1.8 da.Nm

Refit: the twin-pipe (18) and the clamp gasket

Tighten the bolts (19) to 0.8 m.daN

Refit: the heat shield (20)

Tighten the bolts to 0.8 m.daN

Refit

• The upper section of the dipstick guide tube (21)
• The dipstick (22)
• The engine style cover (tightening torque to 0.5 da.Nm)
• The accessory belt roller tensioner system
