· Remove plug from Hall sensor · Lead interruption between Hall sensor

Ignition ON Ter. 1(+) and control unit K 84/Ter. 7 or

Check voltage supply and ground from Hall sensor Ter. 3 (ground) and

on Hall sensor plug control unit K 84/Ter. 13

with Multimeter MKM-587-A 11.5 to 13.5 V

· Ignition OFF

· Pull back rubber grommet and connect plug

· Measure ground with measuring tips of

Voltmeter MKM-587-A in signal lead

(Ter. 0, centre contact)

· Ignition ON

· Turn engine with ring spanner on crankshaft · Hall sensor defective

and observe display on multimeter Voltage alternates

between 11.5 and 13.5 V

and approx. 0 V
