Trouble-shooting: Nominal Value: Cause of Trouble:

Engine idling

· Remove MAP SENSOR 0.1 bar / 0 V · Short circuit between control unit lead

plug P 23 K 84/Ter. 22 and plug P 23/Ter. B with

lead K 84/Ter. 25 to plug P 23/Ter. C

· Control unit defective

· Short circuit lead Ter. 22 and 0.9 to 1.1 bar / · Short circuit between lead K 84/Ter. 25

Ter. 25 on MAP SENSOR plug 4.7 to 5.1 V and plug P 23/Ter. C or K 84/Ter. 22

Ter. B and C and plug P 23/Ter. B with ground lead

K 84/Ter. 13 to plug P 23/Ter. A

Important:

When trouble-shooting is finished the control unit Trouble Code memory is to be deleted with TECH 1 in mode F4.

· Lead interruption K 84/Ter. 22 to plug P 23/Ter. B

· Lead interruption K 84/Ter. 25 to plug P 23/Ter. C

· Control unit defective

· Check continuity from plug

K 84/Ter. 13 to plug P 23/Ter. A

with Multimeter MKM-587-A 0 to 0.2 W · Lead interruption

· Connect Vacuum Pump MKM-667 to See following · MAP SENSOR P 23 defective

MAP SENSOR P 23. Adjust vacuum table

according to nominal value, turn

ignition off and on again after each · Vacuum hose to

change in pressure MAP SENSOR P 23 leaking

or blocked
