Emergency Operation Properties

The Ecotronic system has emergency operation properties, i.e. in the case of a malfunction of various electronic components, there are various values available to replace them to allow the vehicle to be driven to the next workshop.

Notes on "Engine Does Not Start"

TECH 1 refers to Table 4, if data is received from the control unit, no trouble codes are stored, but the engine still does not start.

· Connect TECH 80

· Identify vehicle and select "Workshop Test" checking program.

This speciaI program contains, evaluates and displays aII information required for correct starting of the engine.

If TECH 80 is not available, carry out the following checks:

· Battery (see also F0: DATA LIST, No. 07)

· Starter

· Compression

· Primary voltage

· Secondary voltage (see also F0:DATA LIST, No. 05)

· Engine seed signal (see also F0:DATA LIST, No. 06)
