Checking with TECH 1
Before connecting the equipment, the directions in the TECH 1 Operating Instructions should be observed.
Note: The program modules may only be changed or Inserted with ignition OFF by pressing the two outer catches.
TECH 1, Connect to Vehicle
· Ignition OFF
· Connect TECH 1 to diagnostic plug [X 13] in engine compartment (see circuit diagram)
· Type in Model Year with "X" key Model Year 199X
· Select vehicle type with "¯" keys, confirm with "YES" key
· Engine off, ignition ON
· Answer "AUTOMATIC SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION? "with "NO" key
· Select Ecotronic system with "E 18 NVR" using "¯" keys, confirm with "YES" key
· "COMPARE OPEL PART-NO. XXXXXXXX XX WITH CHART 3". If necessary, confirm with "YES" key
· Note trouble codes (if present). Ignore trouble code 19
· Select "F0:DATA LIST" with "YES" key
· With engine at operating temperature, compare all displayed data with the nominal values in these Checking Procedures
· If there are deviations from the nominal values, carry out checks according to instructions
