Performance Test
The performance test determines whether the temperature of the output air, the low pressure and high pressure correspond to the specifications at a certain ambient temperature and engine speed.
The following conditions must be observed:
· Connect Service Station to high and low pressure service connections.
Important: Hoses must not come into contact with the exhaust manifold.
· Close windows and doors, lower bonnet carefully.
· Start engine and switch on air conditioning.
· Mixed air control knob to the left ("cold"), air distribution control knob to "face level".
· Max. fan speed, recirculating air slider to the left ("fresh air").
· Allow engine to run at idle speed for 15 minutes.
· After 15 minutes get in and set engine speed to 1500 rpm for 5 minutes.
Measure ambient temperature and temperature at vent nozzles using Gauge MKM-596 and compare with performance data.
After performance test, allow vehicle to cool before disconnecting hoses.
