Function Check
Maximum cooling
In warm weather and when the vehicle has been exposed to the sun for long periods of time, open windows briefly to allow heated air to escape.
AC switch on, recirculating air slider to the right ("recirculating air"), mixed air control switch to the left ("cold"), fan switch at the highest speed, air distribution control knob set to "face level" and open all vent nozzles.
Effect:

Normal cooling
AC switch on, recirculating air slider to the left ("fresh air"), mixed air control switch to the left ("cold"), fan switch set as required, air distribution control knob set to "face level" and open vent nozzles as required.

Cooling with temperature stratification
AC switch on, recircuiating air to the left ("fresh air"), adjust mixed air control switch and fan motor control switches as required, air distribution control knob set to face / foot level or foot level and open vent nozzles as required.
Effect:
| Warm air to footwell and to side vent nozzles, cooler air from centre vent nozzles. | |||

Demisting and defrosting screens
Recirculating air to the left ("fresh air"), AC switch on (for accelerated demisting, the compressor switches on automatically at engine ambient temperatures above +4 C / 40 F), mixed air control knob to the right ("warm"), set fan as required, air distribution control knob set to windscreen or windscreen / footwell, close all vent nozzles.
Effect:
Heated, demoisturized air flows from windscreen vents or windscreen / footwell vents.
Note:
| If the windscreen mists up in certain weather conditions when the vehicle is not in operation, briefly switch on windscreen demisting and defrosting function. | |||
