| CIRCUIT | 18, 19 | If an ABS telltale fault is recognized, the actuation request (a certain voltage level is set to Ter. 11 in the control unit) is compared with the measured monitor signal (voltage level actually present at control unit Ter. 11). This allows the following faults to be recognized: |
· Short circuit to battery voltage
· The fault is recognized and stored in the following system operating phases:
Ignition ON
Diagnostic mode active (TECH 1 connected)
· Above conditions must be fulfilled for at least 0.028 s

If trouble code 52 was recognized due to a short circuit to battery voltage, the fault is stored but the ABS system remains active.
During diagnosis (TECH 1 connected), the solenoid valve relay is switched on and valve actuation is blocked. The ABS telltale is switched off.
