| VALVE CIRCUIT | 07, 08 | · Solenoid valve active: |
When the solenoid valves are activated, the control unit switches the solenoid valve circuit internally to ground. The solenoid valve is activated. The control unit then measures the voltage level at Ter. 29 (lead to solenoid valve) and compares the result with a threshold value. If the threshold is exceeded, the fault is set.
(short circuit to battery voltage)
· The fault is recognized and stored in the following system operating phases:
Ignition ON
ABS control active
Diagnostic mode (TECH 1 connected), valve actuator active
· Above conditions must be fulfilled for at least 0.028 s

The solenoid valve relay is switched on.

· Solenoid valve not active:
The solenoid valve is not actuated. The control unit measures the voltage level at Ter. 29 (lead to solenoid valve) and at Ter. 40 (lead to solenoid valve relay contact). The fault is set if the voltage at Ter. 29 is lower than the voltage at Ter. 40
(short circuit to ground or circuit interruption)
