Hydraulic Lines Replace Opel Campo I

Remove

Fluid reservoir cap and siphon fluid from reservoir — use siphoning bottle.

Remove

Hydraulic lines from appropriate connections – place a collecting pan underneath.

Illustration shows hydraulic lines (arrowed) at steering gear.

Caution

Re-sealing operations are to be done with extreme care. Always replace seal rings. Ensure pipes and/or hoses do not make contact with hot or rotating components.

Install

Hydraulic lines with new seal rings to connections. Illustration shows hydraulic lines (arrowed) at steering gear.

Torque

Union nut pressure and return to steering gear – 44 Nm.

Connector nut pressure hose to pump – 20 Nm.

Fill and bleed the hydraulic system – see operation "Hydraulic System Bleed".

Inspect

For leaks with engine running and while actuating steering.
