Control Assembly Replace (Captiva)

Remove

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the audio system trim plate.

4. Remove the four controller retaining screws.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
6. Remove the control assembly.

Install

1. Connect the electrical connectors to the sockets on the back of the controller.
2. Gently insert the controller into position on the centre console.
3. Install the retaining screws.

Tighten

Tighten the controller retaining screws to 2.5 N•m (22 lb-in).

4. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Confirm the proper operation of the controller by moving it through all of the controller's possible functioning positions.
6. Install the audio system trim plate.
