How to Replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor Opel Agila A

Remove

  1. 1. Open bonnet
  2. 2. Disconnect battery • Detach ground cable • 1 fastening nut
  3. 3. Lift vehicle
  4. 4. Place collecting basin underneath.
  5. 5. Drain coolant • Place collecting basin underneath. • Open drain bolt (1)
  1. 6. Lower vehicle
  2. 7. Detach relay holder (1) and preheating control unit (2) • Unclip from bracket • Lay aside relay holder and preheating control unit
  1. 8. Remove coolant temperature sensor (1) • 1 wiring harness plug

Install

  1. 9. Install coolant temperature sensor • In thermostat housing – Tightening torque 34 Nm 1) • 1 wiring harness plug
  2. 10. Install preheating control unit and relay holder • Clip into bracket
  3. 11. Top up coolant and correct coolant level • Observe specified quantity of coolant
  4. 12. Connect battery • Connect ground cable. – Tightening torque 5,5 Nm
  5. 13. Program volatile memories
  6. 14. Close bonnet.

) Recut threads before re-use and apply thread locking compound (red). Installation time including torque test is max. 10 min.
