BEFORE REPLACEMENT

When replacing BCM, save or print current vehicle specification with CONSULT-III configuration before replacement.

Note. If "READ CONFIGURATION" can not be used, use the "WRITE CONFIGURATION - Manual selection" after replacing BCM.

AFTER REPLACEMENT

CAUTIONWhen replacing BCM, you must perform "WRITE CONFIGURATION" with CONSULT-III. Complete the procedure of "WRITE CONFIGURATION" in order. If you set incorrect "WRITE CONFIGURATION", incidents might occur. Configuration is different for each vehicle model. Confirm configuration of each vehicle model. When replacing BCM, perform the system initialization (NATS).

REMOVAL

CAUTIONBefore replacing BCM, perform "READ CONFIGURATION" to save or print current vehicle specification. Refer to " ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING CONTROL UNIT : SPECIAL REPAIR REQUIREMENT ".

  1. Remove the combination meter. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-388063-S27023497762011022800000) ".
  2. Remove the BCM screws (A) using a suitable tool, and pull out the BCM (1).
  3. Disconnect the BCM connector and remove the BCM (1).

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTIONWhen replacing BCM, perform "WRITE CONFIGURATION". Refer to " ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING CONTROL UNIT : SPECIAL REPAIR REQUIREMENT ". When replacing BCM, perform the system initialization (NATS). Refer to the CONSULT-III operation manual for the initialization procedure. When replacing BCM, if new BCM does not come with keyfobs attached, all existing keyfobs must be re-registered. Refer to the CONSULT-III operation manual for the initialization procedure.
