CONFIGURATION (BCM) : Description

Vehicle specification needs to be written with CONSULT-III because it is not written after replacing BCM. Configuration has three functions as follows

CAUTIONWhen replacing BCM, you must perform "WRITE CONFIGURATION" with CONSULT-III. Complete the procedure of "WRITE CONFIGURATION" in order. If you set incorrect "WRITE CONFIGURATION", incidents might occur. Configuration is different for each vehicle model. Confirm configuration of each vehicle model. Never perform "WRITE CONFIGURATION" except for new BCM.

WIPER INTERMITTENT DIAL POSITION SETTING (FRONT WIPER INTERMITTENT OPERATION)

BCM judges the wiper intermittent dial 1 - 7 by the status of INT VOLUME 1, 2, and 3 switches.

Wake-up operation

  1. BCM changes from the low power consumption mode to the CAN communication sleep mode when any of the BCM wake-up conditions is fulfilled. Only the control with BCM is activated.
  2. BCM transmits the sleep wake up signal (wake up) to each unit when any of the CAN wake-up conditions is fulfilled. It changes from the low power consumption mode or the CAN communication sleep mode to the normal mode.
  3. Each unit starts the transmission of CAN communication with the sleep wake up signal. In addition, the combination meter transmits the wake up signal to BCM via CAN communication to report the CAN communication start.

U0415 is displayed if any unusual condition is present in the reception status of the vehicle speed signal from the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit).
