ONE OR MORE SINGLE SWITCHES INOPERATIVE
Note. If Nissan CONSULT scan tool is not available, check power window single switch status using on-board diagnostic mode II. For additional information, see MULTIPLEX CONTROL SYSTEM article.
- Check power and ground to BCM and appropriate LCUs. See «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-32696-S07002758512001010900000) . Using Nissan CONSULT in DATA MONITOR mode, check status of switch in question while operating switch. If switch status is as expected, go to next step. If switch status is not as expected, replace LCU in question.
- Disconnect inoperative power window motor. While operating power window switch, measure voltage at power window motor harness connector. If battery voltage exists, replace motor. If battery voltage does not exist, check continuity of circuits between power window motor and LCU. If continuity does not exist, repair open circuit. If continuity exists, replace LCU.
POWER WINDOW LOCK SWITCH INOPERATIVE
Note. If Nissan CONSULT scan tool is not available, check power window lock switch status using on-board diagnostic mode II. For additional information, see MULTIPLEX CONTROL SYSTEM article.
Check power and ground to BCM and LCU 01. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Using Nissan CONSULT in DATA MONITOR mode, check status of MAIN SW LOCK. If switch status is as expected, check multiplex communications. See MULTIPLEX CONTROL SYSTEM article. If switch status is not as expected, replace LCU 01.
SWITCH MONITOR USING CONSULT
Connect Nissan CONSULT scan tool to diagnostic connector located next to interior fuse panel. Select DATA MONITOR mode. Check status of appropriate switches. Refer to table for scan tool description of switch identification. See SWITCH IDENTIFICATION table.
