Acceleration Control System - (Hybrid): Removal & Installation Mercury Mariner II

Engine Control Systems

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the accelerator pedal electrical connector.
  2. Remove the 3 bolts and release the accelerator pedal from the locating/retaining tabs on the lower RH corner of the accelerator pedal mounting bracket. To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  3. Remove the accelerator pedal bracket bolt. To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
  4. Remove the 2 bolts and remove the accelerator pedal bracket. To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
