The transaxle features a four element torque converter with a torque clutch and a geartrain that includes

  1. Compound planetary gearset.
  2. Chain drive.
  3. Planetary gearset final drive.
  4. Pinion and side gear differential.

The hydraulic control system of the transaxle has five solenoids that control

  1. Shift feel, through line pressure control.
