Condition
DTC is set when input voltage from MAF sensor is less than .64 volt or greater than 4.9 volts once engine has operated (idle) for 3 seconds. Possible causes are
- MAF sensor malfunction.
- Open or short of Brown wire between terminal No. 3E on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "B" on MAF sensor. (Схема №1)and (Схема №2).
- Open or short of Red/Black wire between terminal No. 4A on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "C" on MAF sensor. (Схема №1)and (Схема №2).
- Open or short of Black/Blue wire between terminal No. 4D on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "A" on MAF sensor. (Схема №1)and (Схема №2).
- Throttle Position (TP) sensor malfunction.
DTC is set when input voltage from MAP sensor is less than .16 volt or greater than 4.9 volts with ignition on. Possible causes are
- MAP sensor malfunction.
- Open or short of Blue wire between terminal No. 3U on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "B" on MAP sensor. (Схема №1)and (Схема №2).
- Open or short of Light Green/Red wire between terminal No. 3A on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "C" on MAP sensor. (Схема №1)and (Схема №2).

Conditions
DTC is set if input voltage from IAT sensor is less than .14 volt or greater than 4.8 volts when engine is started. Intake air temperature is 104° F (40° C) greater than engine coolant temperature. Possible causes are
- IAT sensor malfunction.
- Open or short of Red/Blue wire between terminal "A" on IAT sensor and terminal No. 3V on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
- Open or short of Black/Yellow wire between terminal No. 3AB on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "B" on IAT sensor. (Схема №2)
DTC is set if input voltage from ECT sensor is less than .2 volt or greater than 4.9 volts when ignition is turned on. Possible causes are
- ECT sensor malfunction.
- Open or short of Red/Green wire between terminal "A" on ECT sensor and terminal No. 3Q on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
- Open or short of Black/Yellow wire between terminal No. 3AB on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "B" on ECT sensor. (Схема №2)
DTC is set when input voltage from TP sensor is less than one volt or greater than 4.8 volts when ignition is turned on. Possible causes are
- TP sensor malfunction.
- Open or short of Light Green/Red wire between terminal No. 3A on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "A" on TP sensor. (Схема №2)and (Схема №3).
- Open or short of Yellow wire between terminal No. 3B on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "B" on TP sensor. (Схема №2)and (Схема №3).

- Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor malfunction.
DTC is set when engine coolant temperature has not increased after engine is started and default period of time has passed with closed position switch in OFF position. Possible causes are
- Engine coolant temperature sensor malfunction.
- Thermostat malfunction.
- Engine cooling fan system malfunction.
- Water pump malfunction.
- Engine coolant passage clogs or leaks.
- Engine coolant level or mixture incorrect.
DTC is set when right front heated oxygen sensor signal fluctuates at intervals of 3.4 seconds or longer during normal driving conditions. Possible causes are
- Right Front Heated Oxygen Sensor
- Oxygen Sensor Harness And/Or Connector
- Fuel Injection System Malfunction
- Intake System Malfunction
DTC is set when right front heated oxygen sensor signal voltage does not exceed .55 volt after engine is started, or stays less than .55 volt for 99 seconds after engine has reached normal operating temperature. Engine speed at 1150 RPM or greater. Possible causes are
- Right front heated oxygen sensor.
- Open or short of Red wire between terminal No. 3I on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "A" (Red wire) on right front heated oxygen sensor. (Схема №2)
DTC is set when PCM voltage is greater than 11.5 volts when voltage is supplied to right front heated oxygen sensor heater. When PCM voltage is less than 5.8 volts when no voltage is supplied to right front heated oxygen sensor heater. Possible causes are
- Right front heated oxygen sensor.
- Open or short of Black/White wire between main relay and terminal "C" on right front heated oxygen sensor. (Схема №4)
- Open of Brown wire between terminal No. 4E on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "B" on right front heated oxygen sensor. (Схема №2)and (Схема №4).
DTC is set when engine has reached normal operating temperature, right rear heated oxygen sensor signal stays above .45 volts for 6 seconds during deceleration. Possible cause; short in right rear heated oxygen sensor wire harness.
DTC is set when right rear heated oxygen sensor signal voltage does not exceed .60 volt after engine is started, or stays less than .60 volt for 80 seconds after engine has reached normal operating temperature. Engine speed at 1150 RPM or greater. Possible causes are
- Right rear heated oxygen sensor.
- Open or short of White wire between terminal No. 3D on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "A" (White wire) on right rear heated oxygen sensor. (Схема №2)
- Open of Black/Yellow wire between terminal No. 3AB on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "B" (Black/Yellow wire) on right rear heated oxygen sensor. (Схема №2)

DTC is set when left front heated oxygen sensor signal fluctuates at intervals of 3.4 seconds or longer during normal driving conditions. Possible causes are

- Intake System Malfunction
DTC is set when left front heated oxygen sensor signal voltage does not exceed .55 volt after engine is started, or stays less than .55 volt for 99 seconds after engine has reached normal operating temperature. Engine speed at 1150 RPM or greater. Possible causes are
- Left front heated oxygen sensor.
- Open or short of Yellow wire between terminal No. 3M on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "A" on left front heated oxygen sensor. (Схема №2)

DTC is set when left rear heated oxygen sensor signal voltage does not exceed .60 volt after engine is started, or stays less than .60 volt for 80 seconds after engine has reached normal operating temperature. Engine speed at 1150 RPM or greater. Possible causes are
- Left rear heated oxygen sensor.
- Open or short circuit between terminal No. 3H on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "A" (Green wire) on left rear heated oxygen sensor. (Схема №2)

DTC is set when there is no NE signal input from Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor while engine is running. Possible causes are

DTC is set when difference in intake manifold pressure is not within preset value during EGR operation. Possible cause is any component of EGR system or MAP system and the following

DTC is set when EGR valve does not achieve target position during EGR solenoid valve operation. Possible cause; EGR solenoid valve (vent) malfunction. DTC is set when right rear heated oxygen sensor value difference becomes closer to value of right front heated oxygen sensor. Possible causes are
- Three-way catalytic converter deterioration.
- Exhaust system leaks.

- MAF sensor malfunction.

DTC is set when engine has been running for 5 minutes, battery voltage is above 10 volts and fuel gauge sending unit output voltage does not level out after 14 seconds. Possible causes are
- Fuel gauge sending unit malfunction.
- Open or short of Green/Yellow wire between terminal fuel gauge sending unit and terminal No. 3K on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №1)and (Схема №2).
DTC is set when vehicle speed signal is less than .9 MPH for more than 33 second while driving vehicle with engine speed greater than 1810 RPM . Possible causes are
- Speedometer sensor malfunction.
- Open or short between ignition switch and instrument cluster.
- Open or short circuit between ground and speedometer.
- Open or short circuit between VSS and speedometer.
- Open or short of Green/Red wire between VSS and terminal No. 1C on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
DTC is set when actual engine speed is excessively higher or lower than target speed preset in PCM for more than 14 seconds. Possible causes are
- Idle Air Control (IAC) valve malfunction.
- Leakage in intake air system.
- Open or short of Red/Black wire between terminal "A" on IAC valve and main relay.
- Open or short of Blue/Black wire between terminal "B" on IAC valve and terminal No. 4M on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
DTC is set when PCM has not received closed throttle position switch on/off signal while vehicle is operating. Condition must occur at least 10 consecutive times. Possible causes are
- Closed throttle position switch malfunction.

DTC is set when PCM receives power steering switch signal for more than 60 seconds while vehicle is operating. Possible causes are
- Power Steering Pressure (PSP) switch malfunction.
- Open or short of Blue/Yellow wire between PSP switch terminal and terminal No. 3T on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
- Power steering system malfunction.
DTC is set when PCM has not received brake switch signal while vehicle is operating. Possible causes are
- Brake switch malfunction.
- Open or short circuit between brake switch terminal (Green/Black wire) and terminal No. 1O (White/Green wire) on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
- Open or short circuit between brake switch terminal (Green/Red wire) and positive battery terminal.
DTC is set when input voltage from Intake Air Temperature (IAT) mounted in Dynamic Chamber (D/C) is less than .14 volt or greater than 4.9 volts when intake air temperature is greater than 14°F (-10°C). Possible causes are
- IAT (D/C) sensor malfunction.
- Open or short of Light Green wire between terminal "A" on IAT sensor and terminal No. 2C on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
- Open or short of Black/Yellow wire between terminal "B" on IAT sensor and terminal No. 3AB on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
DTC is set when input voltage from Intake Air Temperature (IAT) mounted in Lysholm Compressor (L/C) is greater than 4.9 volts when intake air temperature is greater than 32°F (0°C). Possible causes are
- IAT (L/C) sensor malfunction.
- Open or short of Green/White wire between terminal "A" on IAT (L/C) sensor and terminal No. 2K on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
- Open or short of Black/Yellow wire between terminal "B" on IAT (L/C) sensor and terminal No. 3AB on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
DTC is set when right front heated oxygen sensor signal voltage exceeds .45 volt and remains unchanged for 32 seconds after engine is started and has reached normal operating temperature. Engine speed at 1150 RPM or greater. Possible causes are
- Right front heated oxygen sensor.
- Open or short Red wire between terminal No. 3I on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "A" on right front heated oxygen sensor. (Схема №2)
DTC is set when left front heated oxygen sensor signal voltage exceeds .45 volt and remains unchanged for 32 seconds after engine is started and has reached normal operating temperature. Engine speed at 1150 RPM or greater. Possible causes are
- Left front heated oxygen sensor.
- Open or short of Yellow wire between terminal No. 3M on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "A" on left front heated oxygen sensor. (Схема №2)
DTC is set when input signal from starter to PCM continues for more than 20 seconds with engine speed greater than 2000 RPM. Possible causes are
- Starter malfunction.
- Open or short circuit between starter terminal "S" (Black/White wire) and terminal No. 1H (Black/Blue wire) on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
DTC is set when open or short circuit is detected in PRC solenoid valve when ignition is on. Possible causes are
- PRC solenoid valve malfunction.

DTC is set when there is no SGC signal input from Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor while engine is running. Possible causes are
- CMP sensor malfunction.
- Open or short of Red/Black wire between terminal "D" on main relay and terminal "B" on CMP connector.

DTC is set when input voltage from EGR valve position sensor is less than .2 volt or greater than 4.75 volts. Throttle valve is at closed throttle position and engine speed is less than 875 RPM. Possible causes are
- EGR valve position sensor malfunction.
- Open or short of Light Green/Red wire between terminal No. 3A on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector and terminal "B" on EGR valve position sensor connector. (Схема №1)and (Схема №2).
- Open or short of Red/Black wire between terminal No. 3R on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector and terminal "C" on EGR valve position sensor connector. (Схема №1)and (Схема №2).

DTC is set when PCM detects open or short circuit in CDCV system with ignition switch on. Possible causes are
- CDCV malfunction.
- Open or short circuit between terminal "A" (Black/White wire) on CDCV and terminal "D" (Red/Black wire) on main relay.
- Open or short of Black/Blue wire between terminal "B" on CDCV and terminal No. 4R on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
DTC is set when PCM detects fuel tank pressure is low after engine is started in cold condition and vehicle speed is less than 59 MPH. Possible causes are
- Purge solenoid malfunction.
- Canister Drain Cut Valve (CDCV) malfunction.
- Tank Pressure Control Valve (TPCV) malfunction.
- Vent cut valve malfunction.
- Charcoal canister malfunction.
- Clogs or leakage in system hoses.
- Two-way check valve clogged.
- Fuel tank pressure sensor malfunction.
- ECT sensor malfunction.
- VSS malfunction.
DTC is set if fuel gauge sender unit operation range is minimal when fuel consumption is over 6 gallons. Possible causes are
- Fuel gage sending unit malfunction.
- Open or short of Green/Yellow wire between fuel gauge sending unit and terminal No. 3K on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector. (Схема №2)
DTC is set PCM detects open or short circuit in MAP sensor solenoid valve system when ignition switch is on. Possible causes are
- MAP sensor solenoid valve malfunction.
- Open or short of Red/Black wire between terminal "A" on MAP sensor solenoid valve and terminal "D" on main relay.
- Open of White/Green wire between terminal No. 4P on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and terminal "B" on MAP sensor solenoid valve. (Схема №2)
DTC is set when open or short circuit is detected in by-pass air solenoid valve when ignition is on. Possible causes are
- By-pass air solenoid valve malfunction.
- Open or short of Red/Black wire between terminal "A" on by-pass air solenoid valve and terminal "D" on main relay.
- Open or short of White wire between terminal "B" on by-pass air solenoid valve and terminal No. 1AA on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
DTC is set when open or short circuit is detected in charge air cooler by-pass solenoid valve when ignition is on. Possible causes are
- Charge air cooler by-pass solenoid valve malfunction.
- Open or short of Red/Black wire between terminal "A" on charge air cooler by-pass solenoid valve and terminal "D" on main relay.
- Open or short of Blue/Yellow wire between terminal "B" on charge air cooler by-pass solenoid valve and terminal No. 2E on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
DTC is set when open or short circuit is detected in air by-pass solenoid valve (vacuum) when ignition is on. Possible causes are
- Air by-pass solenoid valve (vacuum) malfunction.
- Open or short of Red/Black wire between terminal "A" on air by-pass solenoid valve (vacuum) and terminal "D" on main relay.
- Open or short of White/Red wire between terminal "B" on air by-pass solenoid valve (vacuum) and terminal No. 2M on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
DTC is set when open or short circuit is detected in air by-pass solenoid valve (vent) when ignition is on. Possible causes are
- Air by-pass solenoid valve (vent) malfunction.
- Open or short of Red/Black wire between terminal "A" on air by-pass solenoid valve (vent) and terminal "D" on main relay.
- Open or short of Brown/Yellow wire between terminal "B" on air by-pass solenoid valve (vent) and terminal No. 2A on Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (Схема №2)
DTC is set when difference between actual charge pressure and target charge pressure is greater than 13.3 kPa. Possible causes are
- Air By-pass Valve (ABV) vent and/or vacuum malfunction.
- Input system signal malfunction.
- ABV actuator malfunction.
- Vacuum system leakage or blockage.
DTC is set when signal voltage from Transmission Control Module (TCM) to Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is too high. Possible causes are
- Open or short of Green wire between terminal No. 2K on TCM and terminal No. 1B on PCM. (Схема №2)
- Open or short of White/Red wire between terminal No. 2N on TCM and terminal No. 1F on PCM. (Схема №2)
DTC is set when PCM's knock control integrated circuit is damaged. Cause is malfunctioning PCM. Replace PCM and erase any DTCs present. See CLEARING CODES in appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article. Retest vehicle.
DTC is set when no pulse signal is input to PCM at 4 MPH or greater. Possible causes are
- ABS/TCS control module malfunction.
- Open or short of Pink/Green wire between terminal No. 1Q on PCM and terminal No. 2S on ABS/TCS control module. (Схема №2)
DTC is set when and open or short is detected between PCM and TCS when ignition switch is on. Possible causes are
- Open or short of Orange/Black wire between terminal No. 3W on PCM and terminal No. 1P on ABS/TCS control module. (Схема №2)
DTC is set when voltage at terminal No. 4B on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) harness connector is less than 1.4 volts (other than during starting). Possible causes are
- Battery malfunction.
- Open or short circuit between terminal No. 4B (Blue/Red wire) on PCM and positive battery cable. (Схема №2)
- Open MAIN fuse.
