TRANSAXLE FLUID CAPACITIES

No Torque Converter Clutch

Possible cause: Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) burnt or slipping, TCC piston hydraulic pressure system, low line pressure, TP sensor malfunction, ECT malfunction, VSS malfunction, faulty input/turbine speed sensor, poor sensor ground, TCC solenoid valve sticking and/or faulty control valve body.

Engine out of tune. One-way clutch slipping within torque converter.

TORQUE CONVERTER

  1. Torque converter is a sealed unit and cannot be disassembled for service. Inspect for damage and cracks. Replace torque converter if defective. Remove any rust from pilot hub and boss of converter. Replace torque converter if converter boss bushing inner diameter exceeds specification. Maximum bushing diameter on converter is 2.088" (53.03 mm).
  2. Flush torque converter. After converter is removed from cleaner, thoroughly drain solvent through hub. Add about .53 qt. (.5L) clean ATF to converter. Agitate fluid by hand. Drain ATF from converter.
