  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-615412-S04991947062014051000000) ).
  2. Remove the front console. (See «FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-615455-S37957878882014051000000) ).
  3. Disconnect the selector lever component connector. (Scheme 1252): Identifying Selector Lever Component Connector
  4. Verify that the continuity between selector lever component terminals B and I. If not as verified, replace the selector lever component. (See «AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-615439-S02571559392014051000000) ).
