1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-615412-S04991947062014051000000) ).
2. Remove the front console. (See «FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-615455-S37957878882014051000000) ).
3. Disconnect the selector lever component connector.
4. Remove the selector cable (selector lever side). (See «SELECTOR CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-615439-S24114466612014051000000) ). (Scheme 1236): Identifying Selector Lever Component Connector
5. Remove the nuts from the selector lever. (Scheme 1237): Identifying Selector Lever Nuts With Torque Specification
6. Remove the knob.
7. Remove the selector lever.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-615412-S04991947062014051000000) ).
2. Perform the following procedure to remove the selector cable (selector lever side). Remove the front console. (See «FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-615455-S37957878882014051000000) ). Pull out the safety lock in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull out the lock piece in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure, and release the lock. (See «SELECTOR CABLE (SELECTOR LEVER SIDE) INSTALLATION NOTE»(ref-615439-S37046289802014051000000) ). (Scheme 1239): Removing Selector Cable (Selector Lever Side) While pressing the cable outer end tab (selector lever side) in the direction of the arrow (3) shown in the figure, lift up cable outer end (selector lever side) in the direction of the arrow (4) shown in the figure to detach the cable outer end tab (selector lever side) from the bracket. Remove the cable outer end (selector lever side) from the bracket. (Scheme 1240): Removing Detach Cable Outer End (Selector Lever Side) From Bracket Remove the selector cable end (selector lever side) from the selector lever.
3. Perform the following procedure to remove the selector cable (transaxle side). Remove the air cleaner case. (See «INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-615404-S24638618012014051000000) ). Remove the battery tray. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-615412-S41218039042014051000000) ). (Scheme 1241): Removing Selector Cable End From Selector Lever While pressing the bracket tab in the direction of the arrow (5) shown in the figure, lift up the cable outer end (transaxle side) in the direction of the arrow (6) shown in the figure to detach the bracket tab from the cable outer end (transaxle side). Remove the cable outer end (transaxle side) from the bracket. (See «CABLE OUTER END (TRANSAXLE SIDE) INSTALLATION NOTE»(ref-615439-S15455837432014051000000) ). (Scheme 1242): Pressing Bracket Tab Remove the clip from the selector cable end (transaxle side). (Scheme 1243): Identifying Selector Cable End, Manual Shaft Lever And Clip Remove the selector cable end (transaxle side) from the manual shaft lever.

5. Remove the clip as shown in the figure and remove the nut. (Scheme 1245): Identifying Clip And Nut With Torque Specifications
6. Remove the grommet as shown in the figure and remove the nuts.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal. (Scheme 1246): Identifying Selector Lever Grommet And Nut With Torque Specifications

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-615412-S04991947062014051000000) ).
2. Remove the shift panel. (See «SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-615455-S00421900212014051000000) ).
3. Remove the socket from the shift panel. (Scheme 1247): Removing Socket From Shift Panel
4. Remove the selector illumination bulb from the socket.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal. (Scheme 1248): Identifying Selector Illumination Bulb And Socket

3. Remove the screws from the bracket.
4. Remove the bracket from the rear console.
5. Shift the selector lever to the P position. (Scheme 1249): Identifying Bracket And Screws
6. Pull out the safety lock in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull out the lock piece in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure, and release the lock. 7. Set the manual shaft to the P position. (Scheme 1250): Setting Manual Shaft To P Position
8. Press in the lock piece in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, press in the safety lock in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure, and lock it.
9. Perform the procedure in the reverse order of Step 1 to 4 to install the removed part.
