FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

WARNINGIncorrect servicing of the discharge headlights could result in electrical shock. Before servicing the discharge headlights, always refer to the DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT SERVICE WARNINGS . (See DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT SERVICE WARNINGS .)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front bumper. (See «FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581621-S34011796882013101400000).)
  3. Remove the bolt shown in the figure. (Scheme 8): Front Combination Light And Bolt With Torque Specification
  4. Remove the bolt and fastener shown in the figure. (Scheme 9): Front Combination Light Bolt And Fastener With Torque Specification
  5. Remove the bolts shown in the figure. (Scheme 10): Front Combination Light Bolts With Torque Specification
  6. Disconnect the connectors shown in the figure. (Scheme 11): Front Combination Light Connectors
  7. Pull the front combination light in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove the pin from the body. (Scheme 12): Pulling Front Combination Light And Pin From Body
  8. Remove the front combination light.
  9. Remove the bolts shown in the figure. (Scheme 13): Front Combination Light Cover And Bolts With Torque Specification
  10. Remove the tabs and pin shown in the figure. (Scheme 14): Front Combination Light Tabs And Pin
  11. Remove the cover from the combination light.
  12. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  13. Adjust the headlight aiming. (See «HEADLIGHT AIMING»(ref-581620-S17169104022013101400000).)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the fasteners and slightly bend back the mudguard.
  3. Remove the cover. (Scheme 15): Headlight Bulb Cover
  4. Pull the connectors in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and disconnect them. (Scheme 16): Headlight Connectors
  5. Move the bulb retaining wire in the direction of the arrow (1) to release the lock, then open the bulb retaining wire in the direction of the arrow (2). (Scheme 17): Bulb Retaining Wire
  6. Remove the headlight bulb. (Scheme 18): Removing Headlight Bulb CAUTION: A halogen bulb generates extremely high heat when it is illuminated. If the surface of the bulb is soiled, excessive heat will build up and the life of the bulb will be shortened. When replacing the bulb, hold the metal flange, not the glass.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

CAUTIONIncorrect servicing of the discharge headlight control module could result in electrical shock. Before servicing the discharge headlight control module, always refer to the " DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT SERVICE WARNINGS ." (See DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT SERVICE WARNINGS .)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front bumper. (See «FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581621-S34011796882013101400000).)
  3. Remove the front combination light. (See «FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581620-S32963087872013101400000).)
  4. Remove the screws A. (Scheme 19): Identifying Discharge Headlight Control Module Connector A And Screw A
  5. Disconnect the connector A.
  6. Remove the screws B. (Scheme 20): Identifying Discharge Headlight Control Module Connector B And Screw B
  7. Disconnect the connector B.
  8. Remove the discharge headlight control module.
  9. Remove the cover. (Scheme 21): Discharge Headlight Control Module Cover
  10. Rotate the connector in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to remove it. (Scheme 22): Rotating Discharge Headlight Control Module Connector
  11. Remove the short cord. (Scheme 23): Short Cord
  12. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 24: STEERING ANGLE SENSOR INSPECTION
  1. Remove the column cover. (See «COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S36009183262013101400000).)
  2. Turn the steering wheel to the right and left, and verify that the voltage and pulses at the terminals are as shown in the figure. If not as specified, replace the combination switch. (Scheme 24): Identifying Steering Angle Sensor Connector Terminals

COMBINATION SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

CAUTIONIf the disc on the combination switch is deformed or has foreign material adhering to it, performance of the steering angle sensor may be reduced, causing abnormal operation. Do not remove the clock spring except when replacing the combination switch.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait 1 min or more.
  2. Remove the following parts: Driver-side air bag module (See «PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581610-S16434598032013101400000).) Steering wheel (See «STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [WITHOUT ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM]»(ref-581622-S34424186902013101400000).) (See «STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [WITH ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM]»(ref-581622-S06798620582013101400000).)   3. Disconnect the connectors. (Scheme 25): Identifying Combination Switch Connectors
  4. Remove the screws. (Scheme 26): Combination Switch Screws
  5. Remove the combination switch.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

AUTO LIGHT/WIPER CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

CAUTIONWhen replacing the auto light/wiper control module, the configuration procedure must be performed before removing the auto light/wiper control module. Replacing the auto light/wiper control module without performing the configuration procedure will result in system malfunction.

Note. Auto light-off system are integrated with the auto light/wiper control module.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the dashboard under cover (Driver side). (See «DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S27123962102013101400000).)
  3. Remove the nut. (Scheme 27): Auto Light/Wiper Control Module Connectors And Nut With Torque Specification
  4. Disconnect the connectors.
  5. Remove the auto light/wiper control module.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  7. Perform the auto light/wiper control module configuration when replacing it. (See «AUTO LIGHT/WIPER CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION»(ref-581620-S32410452292013101400000).)

IGNITION KEY ILLUMINATION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Note. The ignition key illumination is integrated with the coil antenna. (See COIL ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM] .) (See COIL ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM] .)

Scheme 28: GLOVE COMPARTMENT LIGHT BULB REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the glove compartment. (See «GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S35474389282013101400000).)
  3. Remove in the order indicated in the table. (Scheme 28): Glove Compartment Light Bulb And Socket
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Remove the sunvisor. (See «SUNVISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S15387534752013101400000).)
  2. Verify that the continuity between the vanity mirror illumination terminals is as indicated in the table. (Scheme 29): Identifying Vanity Mirror Illumination Connector Terminals If not as indicated in the table, inspect the bulb. If there is no malfunction, replace the sunvisor.   1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the service hole, and pry it in the direction indicated by the arrow to remove the lens. (Scheme 31): Inserting Tape-Wrapped Flathead Screwdriver Into Service Hole
  3. Remove the Vanity mirror illumination bulb. (Scheme 32): Vanity Mirror Illumination Bulb
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the map light. (See «MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581620-S12558053102013101400000).)
  3. Remove in the order indicated in the table. (Scheme 33): Indirect Illumination Tabs
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Insert a tape-wrapped fastener remover into the service hole indicated in the figure. (Scheme 34): Inserting Tape-Wrapped Fastener Remover Into Service Hole
  3. While pressing tab in the direction of the arrow (1), pull the ground illumination light in the direction of the arrow (2). (Scheme 35): Ground Illumination Light And Tabs
  4. Remove the ground illumination light by pulling it in the direction of the arrow (3).
  5. Disconnect the socket in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure. (Scheme 36): Ground Illumination Light And Socket
  6. Remove the ground illumination light bulb as shown in the figure. (Scheme 37): Ground Illumination Light Bulb
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
