Antenna Amplifier Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5]»(ref-520388-S24063200782013010300000) .)   2. Remove the rain sensor cover. (Vehicles with auto light/wiper system) (See «RAIN SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-520457-S25870967302013010300000) .)
  3. Disconnect the rain sensor connector. (Vehicles with auto light/wiper system)
  4. Partially peel back the seaming welts.
  5. Remove the following parts: Sunroof seaming welt (vehicles with sunroof) A-pillar trim (See «A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-520454-S23919795892013010300000) .) Front scuff plate (See «FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-520454-S34787470772013010300000) .)   6. Connect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5]»(ref-520388-S24063200782013010300000) .)   7. Switch the ignition to ON.
  8. Turn the audio unit power to ON.
  9. Tune in the radio.
  10. Verify that voltage is B+ at the antenna amplifier terminal B. If the battery voltage cannot be verified, replace the center roof antenna. If the battery voltage can be verified, go to the feeder line inspection.

  1. Remove the center roof antenna. (See «CENTER ROOF ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-520392-S23499665282013010300000).)
  2. Verify that there is no continuity between the center roof antenna terminals A and C using an ohmmeter. (Scheme 3): Identifying Center Roof Antenna Connector Terminals A And C (AM/FM Type) (Scheme 4): Identifying Center Roof Antenna Connector Terminals A And C (AM/FM/SIRIUS Type)
  3. Inspect for continuity between the center roof antenna terminals using an ohmmeter. If not as indicated in the table, replace the center roof antenna.   2. Disconnect the antenna amplifier connector B. (See «ANTENNA AMPLIFIER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-520392-S12000969702013010300000).)
  3. Inspect the glass antenna for damage visually.
  4. Inspect for continuity between the glass antenna terminals using an ohmmeter. (Scheme 7): Identifying Antenna Amplifier Connector B If not as specified, repair the glass antenna.   6. Remove the clips A and B. (Scheme 9): Antenna Amplifier, Connector, Clips And Bolt With Torque Specification
  7. Disconnect the connector A. (with SIRIUS satellite radio system)
  8. Disconnect the connector B. (See «CONNECTOR B REMOVAL NOTE»(ref-520392-S18768773402013010300000).)
  9. Remove the clip C.
  10. Remove the bolt.
  11. Remove the Antenna amplifier.
  12. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Remove the connector B in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure while pressing the glass antenna terminal in the direction of the arrow (1). (Scheme 10): Pressing Glass Antenna Terminal

  7. Switch the ignition to ON.
  8. Turn the audio unit power to ON.
  9. Tune in the radio.

  3. Remove in the order indicated in the table. (Scheme 14): SIRIUS Satellite Radio Unit, Connector And Nut With Torque Specifications
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  3. Disconnect the connector. (Scheme 15): Condenser, Connector And Bolt (4SD) With Torque Specifications
  4. Remove the bolt.
  5. Remove the condenser.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  3. Disconnect the connector. (Scheme 16): Condenser, Connector And Bolt (5HB) With Torque Specifications
  4. Remove the bolt.
  5. Remove the condenser.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
