  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) Check for optional components. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed. B HINT: Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.   1. REPLACE USB DEVICE OR "iPod" Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly. Turn the engine switch off. HINT: When this DTC has been stored, it is necessary to turn the engine switch off to make it possible for the vehicle to recognize a new device when it is connected. Turn the engine switch on (ACC). Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly. HINT: If the malfunction occurred when a USB device was in use, use another USB device for the inspection. If the malfunction occurred when an "iPod" was in use, use another "iPod" for the inspection. Refer to System Description for compatible formats and versions. Disconnect the K55 and K56 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors. Disconnect the N14 and N29 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors. Disconnect the O4 and O9 rear speaker assembly connectors. Disconnect the P27 rear No. 3 speaker assembly connector. Disconnect the K57 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.
