- INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH Disconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH. Turn the engine switch to on (IG). Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition P8-1 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V P8-2 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V Reconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH. NG --> See step 4 OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. WARNING: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system. Disconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH. Disconnect the Q58 connector of the seat belt control ECU. Connect the negative (-) terminal to the battery. Turn the engine switch to on (IG). Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Disconnect the Q58 connector of the seat belt control ECU. Using a service wire, connect P8-1 and P8-2 of the connector on the front seat outer belt assembly RH. NOTE: Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Q58-1 (MOR-) - Q58-2 (MOR+) Always Below 1 ohms Reconnect the Q58 connector of the seat belt control ECU and P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH.
