  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH Disconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH. Turn the engine switch to on (IG). Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition P8-1 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V P8-2 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V Reconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH. NG --> See step 4 OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. WARNING: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system. Disconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH. Disconnect the Q58 connector of the seat belt control ECU. Connect the negative (-) terminal to the battery. Turn the engine switch to on (IG). Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition P8-1 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V P8-2 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. Reconnect the Q58 connector of the seat belt control ECU and P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.   1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH Disconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition P8-1 - P8-2 Always Below 1 Mohms Reconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH. NG --> See step 4 OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. WARNING: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system. Disconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH. Disconnect the Q58 connector of the seat belt control ECU. Using a service wire, connect P8-1 and P8-2 of the connector on the front seat outer belt assembly RH. NOTE: Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Q58-1 (MOR-) - Q58-2 (MOR+) Always Below 1 ohms Reconnect the Q58 connector of the seat belt control ECU and P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal. NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) OK --> See step 3

Using a service wire, connect Q13-1 and Q13-1 of the connector on the front seat outer belt assembly LH. NOTE: Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Note. The pretensioner is built into the front seat outer belt assembly. Be sure to follow the correct inspection procedure, as failure to follow the correct procedure (such as inspection of incorrect connectors) may deploy the pretensioner.

  1. INSPECT FUSE (PSB FUSE) Remove the PSB fuse from the cowl side J/B LH. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition PSB fuse Always Below 1 ohms Reinstall the PSB fuse to the cowl side J/B LH. NG --> REPLACE FUSE (PSB FUSE) OK: Go to next step
  2. INSPECT SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU (+B TERMINAL VOLTAGE) Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. WARNING: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system. Disconnect the Q58 connector of the seat belt control ECU. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Q58-7 (+B) - Body ground Engine switch OFF 11 to 14 V Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.   5. INSPECT FUSE (ECU-IG RH FUSE) Remove the ECU-IG RH fuse from the cowl side J/B RH. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition ECU-IG RH fuse Always Below 1 ohms Reinstall the ECU-IG RH fuse to the cowl side J/B RH.
