PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH Disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition M9-1 - Body ground Always 1 Mohms or higher M9-2 - Body ground Always 1 Mohms or higher Reconnect the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector. NG --> See step 4 OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. WARNING: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system. Disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector. Disconnect the seat belt control ECU connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition M9-1 - Body ground Always 1 Mohms or higher M9-2 - Body ground Always 1 Mohms or higher M9-1 - M9-2 Always 1 Mohms or higher TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *1 Front view of wire harness connector (to Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly RH) Reconnect the seat belt control ECU and front seat outer belt assembly RH connectors.   4. REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-398091-S12853581082011051600000)
  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH Disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition M9-1 - M9-2 Always Below 20 ohms Reconnect the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector. NG --> See step 4 OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. WARNING: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system. Disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector. Disconnect the seat belt control ECU connector. Using a service wire, connect 1 and 2 of the connector on the front seat outer belt assembly RH. NOTE: Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F107-1 (MOR-) - F107-2 (MOR+) Always Below 1 ohms Reconnect the seat belt control ECU and front seat outer belt assembly RH connectors. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal. NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) OK --> See step 3

  4. REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-398091-S12853581082011051600000)

WARNING: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system. Disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly LH connector. Disconnect the seat belt control ECU connector. Using a service wire, connect 1 and 2 of the connector on the front seat outer belt assembly LH. NOTE: Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F107-3 (MOL+) - F107-4 (MOL-) Always Below 1 ohms Reconnect the seat outer belt assembly LH and seat belt control ECU connectors.   1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision / Trouble Codes. Clear the DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-398341-S04426416572011051600000) . Turn the power switch off. Turn the power switch on (IG). Recheck for DTCs. OK DTCs are not output. NG --> See step 3 OK --> See step 2

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM) Check DTCs for the electronically controlled brake system. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-398097-S18517405762011051600000) . OK Electronically controlled brake system DTC is not output. NG --> See step 4 OK: Go to next step
  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision / Trouble Codes. Clear the DTCs.   1. CHECK MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR Change the millimeter wave radar sensor to aiming adjustment mode. HINT: Aiming adjustment does not need to be performed. When the millimeter wave radar sensor is changed to aiming adjustment mode, specification information will be acquired from the driving support ECU. NEXT: Go to next step
  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Codes. Clear the DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-398341-S04426416572011051600000) . Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met. HINT: If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or more. Turn the cruise main switch on. Enter vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode. Recheck for DTCs. OK DTC C1A0A is not output. NG --> See step 3 OK --> END
