DESCRIPTION

The seat belt control ECU receives information from the distance control ECU through CAN communication and tightens the seat belt by operating the motor in the front seat outer belt RH.

WARNINGThe pretensioner is built into the front seat outer belt RH. Be sure to follow the correct inspection procedure, as failure to follow the correct procedure (such as inspection of incorrect connectors) may activate the pretensioner.

If the seat belt control ECU judges that there is a malfunction in its internal circuit as a result of self-diagnosis, or if the power source voltage (+B) is not input to the seat belt control ECU, this DTC will be stored.

This DTC is output when one of the following occurs: 1) an error in communication with the millimeter wave radar sensor is detected, or 2) vehicle information sent from the radar sensor is abnormal. If output, perform initialization on the radar sensor to register the vehicle information to the radar sensor.

The distance control ECU uses the combination meter to send vehicle speed information to the ECM. The ECM and the skid control ECU use CAN communication to send vehicle speed information to the seat belt control ECU. This DTC is output when the difference between the vehicle speed information from the ECM and the skid control ECU is more than the specified value.

This DTC is output when a malfunction in the brake system is detected. This circuit consists of the skid control ECU and seat belt control ECU. Signals are sent from the skid control ECU to the seal belt control ECU through the CAN line.

  1. This circuit consists of the front seat inner belt RH and LH, occupant classification ECU, center airbag sensor and seat belt control ECU.
  2. When the seat belt RH and LH are fastened, the front seat inner belt RH and LH detect malfunctions in the circuit and sends information to the center airbag sensor.
  3. The center airbag sensor sends information about the seat belt fastened / unfastened condition and circuit malfunctions through CAN or BEAN communication to the seat belt control ECU.
  4. The seat belt control ECU uses information from the center airbag sensor to control the pre-collision system.

The seat belt control ECU is connected to the network gateway ECU through the CAN communication.

The seat belt control ECU receives vehicle model information from the network gateway ECU and determines whether the seat belt buckle switch information from the center airbag sensor is for the driver seat or the passenger seat.

DTC B2064 is output when the CAN communication frame with the network gateway ECU is normal and communication is available, but the steering wheel position information is not set or varies.

HINT

When 2 or more DTCs starting with "U" are output simultaneously, inspect the connectors and wire harness of each ECU.

The millimeter wave radar sensor and distance control ECU transmit the data for general vehicle control and diagnosis function along the communication line.

This circuit supplies power to the seat belt control ECU.

HINT

There may be a malfunction in the power source circuit if either of the following occurs: 1) neither DTCs nor "normal system" codes are output but the pre-collision system is not functioning normally; or 2) DTCs are not output and a "normal system" code is output, but the pre-collision system is not functioning normally.
