The No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (front left sensor) is installed on the front bumper.
The clearance warning ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the front left sensor. If the front left sensor's circuit has an open, short or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

After replacing the clearance warning ECU, this DTC is output until the initial learning operation (steering angle mid-point and maximum steering angle range setting) is completed.
If this DTC is output, B2243 will also be output.
Note. When the clearance warning ECU is replaced, the initial learning operation (steering angle mid-point and maximum steering angle range setting) must be performed.
HINT
When replacing the ECU with another ECU, the ECU may not cause a DTC output if an initial learning operation was already performed on it.

This DTC is output when one of the following occurs: 1) the initial learning operation is not completed; 2) after the initial learning operation is completed, power is cut due to the battery cable being disconnected and reconnected, etc.; or 3) a data blockage at the steering angle sensor or variable gear ratio steering system occurs.
HINT
Steering angle sensor data is received through the CAN line. When a data blockage occurs, it is displayed on the multi-information display. Refer to OPERATION CHECK .

Check that the steering guide mark is blinking or illuminated on the multi-information display. The clearance sonar main switch is installed on the integration control and panel.
When the clearance sonar main switch in turned ON, an ON signal is sent to the clearance warning ECU through the BEAN line. The intuitive parking assist system operates according to this signal.
