REPLACEMENT
| WARNING | Never open radiator cap while engine is hot. Wrap a thick cloth around cap before loosening. Use caution when draining hot coolant. |
| CAUTION | Do not use alcohol or methanol-based coolant. Use only demineralized water in coolant mixture. |

- Remove radiator cap and loosen drain plug.
- Drain coolant into a suitable container.
- Flush cooling system with water until all traces of color are gone; then let system drain completely.
- Install drain plug.
- Fill with proper mixture of ethylene glycol-based coolant. Coolant Capacity: 6.3 Us qt (6.0 liters, 5.3 lmp qt)
- Run the engine with the radiator cap removed until the upper radiator hose is hot.
- With the engine idling, add coolant to the radiator until it reaches the bottom of the filler neck.
- Install the radiator cap.
- Allow engine to cool and check coolant level.
REMOVAL
| CAUTION | Do not disassemble water pump assembly. If a problem is found, replace assembly as a unit. |

- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Drain engine coolant.
- Remove timing belt. See «TIMING SYSTEM»(ref-159087-S07179243332005020100000) .
- Remove tensioner and idler.
- Remove water pump.
