Installation
- Installation is the reverse of removal.
- Perform the Battery Reconnection Procedure. Refer to «BATTERY RECONNECTION PROCEDURE»(ref-171253-S14708357522005020100000) .

- Open the driver's door, or both doors if necessary, to allow the side windows to drop. Ensure that the doors remain open until after the battery has been disconnected.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Remove the battery cover. see scheme 6: Disconnecting Battery Ground Cable
- Remove the cover from the fuse-box. Release the securing tangs of the cover (1). Remove the cover from the fuse-box housing (2). (Scheme 1): Removing Cover From Fuse-Box
- Remove the positive supply power cable. Reposition the cover from the positive cable (1). Remove the nut which secures the positive cable to the fuse-box (2). Disconnect the positive power cable (3). (Scheme 2): Removing Positive Supply Power Cable
- Remove the fuse-box from the mounting panel, Release the securing latch, upwards (1). Reposition the fuse-box, inwards. Remove the fuse-box from the mounting panel. (Scheme 3): Removing Fuse-Box From Mounting Panel
- Remove the fuse-box. Identify and disconnect the harness multi-plugs from the fuse-box. Remove the fuse-box from the vehicle. (Scheme 4): Removing Fuse-Box
- Remove the fuses and relays. Note the position of each relay and remove them (1). Identify each fuse and remove them. The value and position of each fuse is illustrated on the lid of the luggage compartment fuse-box - for all fuse-boxes on the vehicle (2). (Scheme 5): Removing Fuses And Relays
- Installation is the reverse of removal.

- Remove the cover from the fuse-box. (Scheme 7): Removing Cover From Fuse-Box
- Remove the glovebox assembly, for access to the connectors. Refer to «GLOVE COMPARTMENT (76.52.03)»(ref-198054-S24426107342005101500000).
- From behind the fuse-box (in the glovebox area) disconnect the harness multi-plug.
- Remove the positive supply power cable. Remove the nut which secures the positive cable to the fuse-box (1). Disconnect the positive power cable (2). (Scheme 8): Disconnecting Positive Power Cable
- Remove the fuse-box. Remove the two nuts which secure the fuse-box to the fascia (1). Remove the fuse-box from the vehicle (2). (Scheme 9): Removing Fuse-Box
- Remove the fuses and relay. Remove the relay (1). Identify each fuse and remove them. The value and position of each fuse is illustrated on the lid of the luggage compartment fuse-box - for all fuse-boxes on the vehicle (2). (Scheme 10): Removing Fuses And Relay

- From behind the fuse-box (in the underscuttle area) disconnect the harness multi-plug.
