DTC U0199: Lost Communication With P/W (DR Lock SW frame) Honda Pilot II

Note. If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A ).

Scheme 87: DTC U0199: Lost Communication With P/W (DR Lock SW frame)
  1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
  3. Wait for 6 seconds or more.
  4. Check for DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC U0199 indicated? YES - Go to step 5 . NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the power seat control unit and the door multiplex control unit.
  5. From the BODY ELECTRICAL system select menu, select UNIT INFORMATION, and then select CONNECTED UNIT. Is the power window master switch (door multiplex control unit) detected? YES - Replace the power seat control unit. • NO - Go to step 6 .
  6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  7. Disconnect the power window master switch 37P connector.
  8. Disconnect power seat control unit connector B (40P).
  9. Check for continuity between power seat control unit connector B (40P) terminals No. 39 and No. 40 and the door multiplex control unit 37P connector terminals No. 33 and No. 35 individually. Is there continuity? YES - Faulty door multiplex control unit; replace the power window master switch (see «POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH REPLACEMENT»(ref-333619-S07541619552009072100000) ). • NO - Repair an open in the B-CAN wire between the door multiplex control unit and the power seat control unit.
