DTC U0155: Lost Communication With Gauge Control Module (VSP/NE frame) Honda Pilot II

Note. If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A ).

Scheme 86: DTC U0155: Lost Communication With Gauge Control Module (VSP/NE frame)
  1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
  3. Wait for 6 seconds or more.
  4. Check for DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC U0155 indicated? YES - Go to step 5 . NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the power seat control unit and the gauge control module.
  5. From the BODY ELECTRICAL system select menu, select UNIT INFORMATION, and then select CONNECTED UNIT. Is the gauge control module detected? YES - Replace the power seat control unit. • NO - Go to step 6 .
  6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  7. Disconnect the gauge control module 32P connector.
  8. Disconnect power seat control unit connector B (40P).
  9. Check for continuity between power seat control unit connector B (40P) terminals No. 39 and No. 40 and the gauge control module 32P connector terminals No. 19 and No. 20 individually. Is there continuity? YES - Replace the gauge control module (see «GAUGE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT»(ref-333620-S12421720222009072100000) ). • NO - Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the gauge control module and the power seat control unit.
