Testing & Diagnostics

Note. Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot, and review the general troubleshooting information (see GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION ). This DTC is indicated when an ECM/PCM update is not completed. Do not turn the ignition switch to ACC (I) or LOCK (0) while updating the ECM/PCM. If you do, the ECM/PCM can be damaged.

Do the ECM/PCM update procedure (see «ECM/PCM UPDATE»(ref-423675-S07984033632011092800000) ).
Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P0602 indicated? YES -Replace the original ECM/PCM (see «ECM/PCM REPLACEMENT»(ref-423675-S30806157422011092800000) ). NO -The update is complete.
