- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to «BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES»(ref-204997) .
- Disconnect the breather tube, loosen the clamp and position the air outlet tube aside.
- Remove the bolt and the snow shield.
- Disconnect the accelerator cable, speed control cable and the return spring.
- Disconnect the accelerator cable and speed control cable from the accelerator bracket.
- Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve electrical connector.
- Disconnect the two vacuum hoses.
- Remove the nut and position the oil level indicator aside.
- Remove the nut and the upper intake manifold support brace.
- Loosen the bolt and position the 42-pin wiring harness out of the way.
- Remove the 42-pin connector from the bracket and position out of the way.
- Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
- Remove the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve from the valve cover.
- Remove the bolts and the upper intake manifold.
- Clean the gasket sealing surfaces.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
