Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Carry out the azimuth and elevation system check. Refer to: «AZIMUTH SYSTEM CHECK»(ref-515936-S09197624862012120400000) . Refer to: «Elevation System Check»(ref-515935-S17770743442012120400000) .

2. Remove the liftgate release handle.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Verify camera operation. If the displayed image is inverted, place the ignition ON and leave on for 5 minutes to allow the Image Processing Module - B (IPM-B) to configure the camera.

2. Remove the luggage compartment release handle.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Verify camera operation. If the displayed image is inverted, place the ignition ON and leave on for 5 minutes to allow the IPMB to configure the camera.

Note. If the eleventh VIN character (assembly plant code) is L, (Michigan Assembly - Wayne, Michigan), module configuration (PMI) is required when new module is installed. Other vehicles do not require PMI. If a new module will be installed and the eleventh VIN character is L, upload the module configuration to the scan tool by following the instructions on the scan tool.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. After installing the sensor(s), use the scan tool to verify that the active park assist sensor PIDs are responding correctly. Carry out the Azimuth System check and the Elevation System check. 3. If the active park assist sensor does not respond correctly. Refer to: «Parking Aid»(ref-515935-S24827745712012120400000) .
