- Remove the RH wheel and tire. Refer to: «WHEEL AND TIRE»(/ford/focus-st/iii-2012-2015/remont/wheel-tire-system/#wheels-tires-except-electric__wheel-and-tire) .
- Remove the RH front fender splash shield. Refer to: «FENDER SPLASH SHIELD»(/ford/focus-st/iii-2012-2015/remont/exterior-body-panels/#body-panel-system-front-end-body-panels-except-electric) .
- Disconnect the CKP electrical connector.
- Turn the crankshaft until piston no. 1 is 45 degrees BTDC by using the guide holes on the engine front cover and the crankshaft pulley.
- Turn the crankshaft clockwise until the crankshaft contacts the special tool. Install the Special Tool(s) : 303-507 (Timing Peg, Crankshaft TDC)
- Install a 6 mm x 18 mm bolt through the crankshaft pulley TDC guide hole and into the engine front cover TDC guide hole.

- NOTE: Do not tighten the bolts at this time.
- Special Tool(s) : 303-1521 (Alignment Tool, Crankshaft Position Sensor) Torque : 7 Nm
- Connect the CKP electrical connector.
- Remove the 6 mm x 18 mm bolt.
- Remove the special tool and install the cylinder block plug. Remove the Special Tool(s) : 303-507 (Timing Peg, Crankshaft TDC) Torque : 20 Nm
- Install the RH front fender splash shield. Refer to: «FENDER SPLASH SHIELD»(/ford/focus-st/iii-2012-2015/remont/exterior-body-panels/#body-panel-system-front-end-body-panels-except-electric) .
- Install the RH wheel and tire. Refer to: «WHEEL AND TIRE»(/ford/focus-st/iii-2012-2015/remont/wheel-tire-system/#wheels-tires-except-electric__wheel-and-tire) .
