  1. Retrieve the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration retrieval steps of the PMI procedure. REFER to «MODULE CONFIGURATION»(ref-517596-S41023052042012121200000) .
  2. Remove the cowl panel. REFER to «COWL PANEL»(ref-517609-S10800986242012121200000) .
  3. Disconnect the 2 PCM electrical connectors. Detach the wiring harness retainer from the cowl.
  4. Remove the 2 nuts and the PCM and bracket assembly.
  5. Remove the 4 bolts and remove the PCM from the bracket.

  1. Remove the ACL outlet pipe and turbocharger inlet pipe. REFER to «INTAKE AIR SYSTEM COMPONENTS - EXPLODED VIEW»(ref-517563-S09135048742012121200000) .
  2. Slide the insulator up and disconnect the CHT electrical connector.
  3. Remove the CHT and discard. To install, tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to «JACKING AND LIFTING»(ref-517532-S17733021342012121200000) for lifting points.
  2. Loosen the 4 retainers and remove the underbody shield.
  3. NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the sensor threads with penetrating and lock lubricant to assist in removal. Detach and disconnect the HO2S electrical connector. Using the 303-476 (T94P-9472-A), remove the HO2S . Calculate the correct torque wrench setting for the following torque. REFER to Torque Wrench Adapter Formulas illustration. To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

  1. Remove the intake manifold. REFER to «INTAKE MANIFOLD»(ref-517530-S10921718202012121200000) .
  2. NOTE: The RH KS must be installed in the 6 o'clock position and the LH KS must be installed in the 3 o'clock position. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the engine. Disconnect the 2 KS electrical connectors and remove the 2 bolts and the 2 KS. To install, tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).

  1. Remove the upper CAC inlet tube and intermediate CAC inlet tube. REFER to «CHARGE AIR COOLER»(ref-517563-S26931816762012121200000) .
  2. Disconnect the FRP sensor electrical connector.
  3. Remove the FRP sensor.

  1. Install the FRP sensor and tighten in the following 5 stages: Stage 1: Tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in). Stage 2: Tighten an additional 5 degrees. Stage 3: Loosen 90 degrees. Stage 4: Tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in). Stage 5: Tighten an additional 21 degrees.
  2. Connect the FRP sensor electrical connector.
  3. Install the upper CAC inlet tube and intermediate CAC inlet tube. REFER to «CHARGE AIR COOLER»(ref-517563-S26931816762012121200000) .
