  1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this article, refer to Safety Warnings in «GENERAL INFORMATION»(ref-635189) . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury. Refer to: «ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM HEALTH AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS»(ref-635189-S05974742782014070200000) .
  2. Refer to: «COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING»(ref-635216-S38165086382014070200000) .
  3. Refer to: «ACTIVE GRILLE SHUTTER»(ref-635237-S38052633542014070200000) .
  4. NOTE: Be prepared to capture escaping fluid. NOTE: Using a Jiffy-tite quick disconnect tool, close the tool around the tube, press the tool into the fitting and rotate until the tool is fully seated into the fitting. NOTE: Follow the unique instructions or graphic for this step in installation.
  5. NOTE: Be prepared to capture escaping fluid. Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  2. NOTE: To ensure the transmission fluid cooler tubes are secure, push, pull then push the transmission cooler tubes on the transmission fluid cooler.
  3. Check and top off the transmission fluid. Material: Motorcraft® MERCON® LV Automatic Transmission Fluid (U.S.)/XT-10-QLVC (U.S.) (WSS-M2C938-A) (MERCON® LV)
