DESCRIPTION

The charging system consists of

1. Generator.
2. Electronic Voltage Regulator (EVR) circuitry within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
3. Ignition switch (refer to «IGNITION SYSTEM - SERVICE INFORMATION - 1.4L»(ref-646263) or «IGNITION SYSTEM - SERVICE INFORMATION - 2.0L & 2.4L»(ref-646264) for information).
4. Battery (refer to «BATTERY SYSTEM - SERVICE INFORMATION»(ref-646227) for information).
5. Inlet Air Temperature (calculated battery temperature) (If equipped).
6. Voltmeter (refer to «INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - SERVICE INFORMATION»(ref-646236) for information if equipped).
7. Wiring harness and connections (refer to «SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-607579) for information).
8. Accessory drive belt (refer to «ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM»(ref-646235) for more information).
