Battery System - Service Information: Removal & Installation Dodge Dart PF

INSTALLATION

1. Position the battery (2) onto the battery tray.
2. Install the battery hold down clamp. Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
3. Install the battery thermal cover (1).
4. Install the battery fuse block (1) onto the positive battery post. Tighten the nut to 5 N.m (44 in. lbs.).
5. Connect the negative battery cable (2). Tighten the nut to 5 N.m (44 in. lbs.).

1. Position the battery tray onto the frame rail.
2. Loosely install the upper battery tray bolt (2).
3. Partially lift the vehicle.
4. Install the outer side rail bolt. Tighten bolt to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
5. Install the washer solvent bottle bolt (2). Tighten bolt to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
6. Install the inner splash shield (1).
7. Install the wiring harness onto the battery tray.
8. Install the wheel.
9. Raise the vehicle.
10. Install the inner battery tray to frame rail bolts (2). Tighten bolt to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
11. Install the belly pan.
12. Lower the vehicle.
13. Tighten the upper battery tray bolt. Tighten bolt to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
14. Install the PDC.
15. Install the wiring harness onto the battery tray.
16. If required, Install the PCM.
17. Connect the SDU (2) electrical connector (3).
18. Position the battery (2) onto the battery tray (7).
19. Install the battery hold down clamp (4). Tighten bolt (3) to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
20. Install the battery thermal cover (3).
21. Install the battery fuse block (1). Tighten bolt to 5 N.m (44 in. lbs.).
22. Install the negative battery cable (2). Tighten bolt to 5 N.m (44 in. lbs.).
