Description

Direct current electric motor with separate excitation

The rotational speed variation is obtained with a variator

From 0 to 1600 rpm, the variator operates on the rotor voltage and from 1600 to 6500 rpm, on the excitation current, via 2 electronic choppers

The motor is cooled by a 2 speed blower

  • 1st gear as soon as the plus after ignition is connected
  • 2nd speed as soon as the motor temperature has reached 80 °C

The 2nd speed is stopped as soon as the motor temperature drops at 75 °C

2 "CTN" type temperature sensors are included in the inductor poles (a spare sensor)

The reduction gear assembly coupled with the motor is suspended under the motor crossmember by means of 2 silentblock mountings and held in place by a torque rod
