Computer/integrating Systems: Removal & Installation Chevrolet Uplander I

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to «ENGINE ELECTRICAL»(ref-241706) .
2. Remove the right side instrument panel (I/P) insulator.
3. Push the release tab on the bottom of the bracket to release the body control module (BCM).
4. Slide the BCM from the bracket.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Installation Procedure

1. Connect the electrical connectors to the BCM.
2. Align the tabs on the BCM with the slots in the mounting bracket. Push the BCM up until the module clicks into place.
3. Install the right side I/P insulator.
4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to «ENGINE ELECTRICAL»(ref-241706) .
5. Setup the BCM customized options.

1. Remove the bolts/screws from the data link connector.
2. Remove the lower data link connector.

1. Place the data link connector into position.
2. Install the bolts/screws to the data link connector. Tighten: Tighten the bolts/screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
