2Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. Turn ON the radio. Insert a tape, CD, or CD magazine with at least 1 audio CD inside, into the remote playback device. Turn ON the remote playback device. 3Turn OFF the ignition. Disconnect the remote playback device. Test the drain wire circuit of the remote playback device for high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?Go to Step 9Go to Step 4
4Test the remote playback device audio common signal circuit of the remote playback device for a short, high resistance, or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?Go to Step 9Go to Step 5
